The World Economic Forum, in collaboration with the McKinsey Health Institute, presents a landmark report that highlights both the human and economic potential of closing the women’s health gap. The report introduces a novel framework and metrics to track progress, and sets out a blueprint for change across four key levers:

  • Data collection & representation – filling the evidence gap in women’s health.
  • Research & innovation – directing focus to underfunded women’s health conditions.
  • Equitable care – addressing bias and improving access across life stages.
  • Investment – prioritizing women’s health as a driver of growth and equity.

If achieved, these measures could unlock more than $1 trillion in annual GDP by 2040, alongside vast improvements in quality of life for women worldwide.
